I actually love the complete blurring of wants and needs of little kids, though it sometimes makes them sound a bit demanding. I appreciate anyone who can announce that they "just really need to go to Disneyland today."
So, a few days ago, we were driving home from Mary's Pizza Shack and Ellie suddently announced from the back seat, "Mom, I want to see a dancing pickle. Can you please get a dancing pickle for me?"
A week earlier, we had seen a guy dressed up in front of a new deli in town, doing a very funny dance to try to get people in. Blake thought it was hilarious. Ellie, apparently, thought it was something that I conjured up for her entertainment by pressing one of the buttons in our magic mini van.
I guess it's a bit easier to live up to the expectations with the juice than the animated sandwich accessories.

Ellie is so cute. Kids are funny like that. They think we can just conjure up whatever their need is at the time. I love when we're driving and Ethan wants something to drink and acts like he's going to die if he doesn't get it right then. Me telling him that he'll need to wait 5 minutes until we get home just isn't quick enough.
I have a magic mini-van too! It must come with the sliding doors :)
