Every night I empty my pockets when I change into PJs, and I have noticed that the things I find therein are quite indicative of my day, so here goes on "Items from my pocket-01".
Four Pennies--Michael is infatuated with magnets and has discovered that coinage is not magnetic, but it required a few pennies to prove it to Blake (which I later found abandoned on the ground).
Toothpick--The kids were making a bit of "recyclyed art" with styrofoam, toothpicks, skewers, and cotton balls. I found this leftover toothpick stuck in one of the grooves of our driveway.
Rock--Our new house has a sideyard covered in rocks, where the kids will spend hours pouring and moving them around. They tend to hitch rides into the house inside the treds of shoes.
Hairband--A symbol of the losing battle with Ellie's hair to keep it out of her eyes.
Hair clip--A symbol of the losing battle with Ellie's will to keep decorations in her hair.
Washer--Leftover from putting together some chairs for our new house. Obviously, they're not going to be as sturdy as designed (I also had a leftover screw).
Tag--To be honest, the tag was not in my pocket, it was still attached to my pants, which I had already worn for 2 days (yes, consecutively) without ever bothering to remove it. Just so you know, I also enjoy keeping those magnetic anti-theft patches that they tend to sew into clothes these days.
Items surprisingly absent from my pocket on that particular day: a lego, at least 1 receipt, a candy bar wrapper, a straw wrapper from a juice box, and a Sharpie marker that I have confiscated from Ellie before major damage was done.

xoxo
Cute kids Shelby! Hilarious about the glue. My kids know the exact use of every single thing in my bathroom- scary! But I'm wondering why there is a candy wrapper in your pocket. Surely you aren't eating candy. Also, great name for your blog!
