Death by Chocolate. . . Ice Cream

So I've been having some problems with neck pain for a few weeks. I have no idea how I hurt it, except that I woke up one morning in EXTREME pain that lasted for a few days as I functioned like a robot.  Even though my neck feels fine during the day now, I still wake up at night because it hurts. I'm open to suggested therapies (except chiropractors. . . I have standards).

Anyway, so my neck started hurting again today at church and was still a bit sore this afternoon as I dug in my side-by-side freezer for the tri-tip buried at the bottom underneath frozen peans and blueberries. The food at the top of the freezer was apparently a bit precariously placed because I was suddenly pummeled in the back of the head with all the food from the top of the freezer: popsicles, boxes, etc.

Extreme pain--a full pint of Ben & Jerry's "Everything But The. . " landed squarely on the back of my neck, which was already vulnerable. I think it's even heavier than normal ice cream since it has all that candy in there.

I've been back to robot maneuvering all afternoon.

If I have to go to the doctor, what in the world will they think when I tell them I was hurt by  a  pint of chocolate ice cream?

If you have ever been to this doctor before, they would probably think it was par for the course!

I know you have standards, but I have ahd this same problems and I went to an accupuncturist.

It wasn't fully cured with just one treatment, but I had 75% mobility and no pain after just one visit.

I'm with Denise. I had complete immobility for about three days and went to an acupuncturist. She put needles in my outer ear and it worked wonders. Not back to 100%, but I had enough range of motion to drive safely again.

You must be in California. East coasters would rather drink hot dog water than admit they went to an accupuncturist or chiropractor. Good luck with that.
