There's been a slight break in posts since my camera died while my kids were sitting on Santa's lap (perfect timing). We had a lovely Christmas--first time doing Christmas morning in our own house. We started a new Christmas Eve tradition of waffles with raspberries, mostly because I wanted an excuse to buy a fancy new waffle iron.

Here are some pics from Dec 23 at Gramma and Grandpa's house. Some fabulous photos (taken on a borrowed camera--thank you Taylor and Amy) of the Christmas morning bliss will come soon.

On Christmas Day we instituted a new family tradition of a talent show, which (after The Moeller family play) ended up mostly being the cousins dancing around in ballet tutus and Blake dancing around in a black and silver "outer-space-martian-robot) ensemble.

Most current Blake-ism:
While driving down to Alamo, Ellie was counting for about 10 minutes: 1-6-7-8-9-5-4-2-7-8-9. . .
Blake mumbles under his breath then screams out: "Mom, I did it! I did it! I counted all the way to J!"

{this is Brooke} I did the same thing with 4th of july. I bought an ice cream maker so it could be a tradition to make it on the 4th, but really, I just wanted an ice cream maker. And I love having it. Your kiddos are cute! The counting to 'j' thing is hilarious.
