I (don't) wanna. . . . Shasta

Does anyone remember those old Shasta commercials?

Here's Dave's first High Adventure Trip as YM Prez.
Mt Shasta: 2nd highest mountain in the contiguous US
Base camp: 10,000 ft
Summit: 14, 179 ft.
I'm not sure I like that everyone reports what an "animal" my husband is, and recounts his crazy exploits glissading down the ice (and only requiring a handful of emergency stops with his ice ax).
Have you ever seen the movie, Everest? Doesn't the 3 am hiking picture remind you of that?

Congrats, Dave for summitting second (just behind a hot-dog mountaineering 18-year-old.)

It sounded horrible in planning phase and just as horrible in retrospect. I think any group activity that has at least 5 people puking their brains out (altitude sickness), is probably unrepeatable. Next year you should probably go for a tour of all the In-n-Out Burgers between here and Tahoe.

We missed you. Especially when we were lounging on the chaises and ordering food poolside.

Actually, Mt. Shasta isn't even the second highest in California. But it's high enough that I don't want to do it again.

Just when Rob was feeling good about his High Adventure trip--climbing the second highest mountain in Maryland, (that's right there are mountains here, I haven't seen them but I've heard), he happened to check your blog and see the pictures of Dave on Everest. Way to go Dave.
