I had to get Blake's birthday post up today (the last day of the 1 month grace period).

Blake is now 5 and selected pancakes for his special
breakfast, with only a few specific demands: chocolate chips, a face, a crown, and candles.
We celebrated the day with a boys outing at Scandia (for the racecars and the bumper boats) and an evening at Chevys. Fun for all (and no clean up).
Here are some highlights from Blake's year:
- learning to snap
- climbing the 17 ft rope in gymnastics
- riding a 2-wheeler
- getting a new baby sister
- a first pet
- losing his first tooth
- a great trip to Hawaii, and catching his first waves
- Disneyland
Wow--I didn't learn that many things this year. Way to go, Blake.
Blake also consistently earns top honors for "Best Sleeper"
Happy Birthday, Blake. Still the best Mother's Day present ever.

I LOVE this guy and realize he is a big five year old and I will forever miss his need for a "hey do".
