Night of the un-Sleepful

Michael is insistent that he doesn't sleep.  He told one of my friends yesterday that he usually goes to sleep about 5 in the morning. And if he ever gets up in the night to use the bathroom, he will never admit that he was asleep, even at 2 or 3 AM. He tells me, "I've just been sitting in my bed, so bored."

Michael also will do almost anything to avoid sleep. He's a big fan of his bedside lamp (and we're a big fan of Blake, who can sleep through ANYTHING). I often find pictures, notes, and stacks of books on his top bunk in the morning. One morning I even found a 2 ft x 3 ft floor puzzle on his bed.

A few nights ago I guess he just decided to see how high he could count--that probably put him out. But I also liked the note to his BFF, Alex, especially at the end when he writes that Alex is "osome, nice, and playful." I'm not sure I have ever received a playful compliment.
