And the award goes to. . .

Ellie Moeller for the "cutest witch." She would, of course, correct you that she was actually a "princess witch." Seriously, she won the award at our church Halloween Party.
Blake Moeller for his  unique spin on "Little Red Riding Jedi Knight." Blake was a  Jedi, but was insistent on this red faux suede at the fabric store, instead of the nice brown muslin I was steering him toward. We added the red pleather vest and boots in hopes of clearing up the mystery, but Dave told me that on Halloween night, when the hood was on, everyone commented on our gorgeous girls.
Michael Moeller for "most original and almost edible costume." Michael decided to be a fried egg, then expanded the costume to include a pancake (with syrup) on the front so that when people asked him what he was for Halloween he said, "Breakfast." Thought it was all his idea, he got a bit embarrassed about his costume at school and I lament that next year he will want a store-purchased Bat-type suit like everybody else.
For the ward party, I made Dave a stellar "Piece of Toast" costume to go along with Michael (at Michael's request), complete with a melting pat of butter. Lucky for him, it was almost 90 degrees so he had a good excuse to ditch the felt.
By the way, don't wear completely felt costumes to the hay jump and hay rides--that stuff is stickier than velcro.

Your back. Decided to take October off of blogging huh?

Dumb peer pressure. I LOVE that Michael wanted to be breakfast - so fun and original. I love how your costumes are always homemade. I was a street this year - again. I've been that since high school (off and on).

Very cute costumes. I have domestic envy to all my friends who can sew a straight line.
