It's tough being George Clooney's houseguest

When Dave travels to Europe, he often has experiences like these. The pic above is the view from his balcony.

Impressed? Try the link to his hotel--right on Lake Como (think end of "Ocean's Twelve"). All of the keys had these long tassels on them, obviously not the electronic key cards. Hate to think what they would have charged us if we had lost that.

When Dave travels to Europe, he also has experiences like this:

The airline loses your luggage on your departing flight and delivers it to you 3 days later as you are boarding a taxi for your trip from Austria to Milan. This could possibly be because of the vast amounts of medical devices in your luggage, including a gun-like trigger system that launches a stent into the body and about 8 feet of medical grade high-tech wiring.

The airline also loses your luggage on your return flight, but since you checked a bag in for a coworker, they also lose that bag (Dave has bad bag mojo). These bags are almost mistakenly delivered to Robert Moeller in Indiana, but you luckily check the United website just in time, and instead, they are delivered safely to your doorstep 4 days later. Medical devices intact.

Oh my goodness, can I have his job? The views from my "office" are more in the category of dirty diapers and mini big rigs. Love you blog -- your kids crack me up. :)

Shelby, you really need to go with him on some of these trips. Not only for the awesome places he's going but maybe you'd be a good luck charm.

The views where you live actually look rather similar to Italy, minus the castles. Napa Valley needs more castles.

Hi Dave and Shelby,

I found your blog thorugh a series of clicking through a bunch of other blogs (chalk it up to ADHD). I hope you are doing well. It's great to read about your growing family.
