I was in charge of refreshments for New Beginnings last week and we had this flower theme, so I made these (labor-intensive) cupcakes.
They were quite beguiling, but nobody could really eat the ones with the gumdrop slices on them, so most people stood around trying to de-flower the tops. (I'm not sure I've ever previously used the verb "to de-flower")
Why didn't I see that coming?

I sure hope you got a picture of your hard work before people went off and de-flowered them! If they were anything in Shelby-like fashion, I'm sure they were awesome!
