I was out last Saturday at Bunko and so Dave had solo bedtime duty.
I came home to find this printed by her bed.
Ellie's pretty particular about her bedtime singing, she requests a certain "set" every night, almost always provided by me.
She had requested the "rainbow" song and after Dave finished 1 verse (all he knew) she quite adamantly demanded the rest of it. So Dave got online and found the lyrics (and improvised the tune's bridge, I think).
I told him next time he can just call me and I will sing a lullaby over the phone.
I'm not sure why, but I found this little incident profoundly sweet.
