No, I'm not Big Bird.

Blake wanted to dress up as a chick this Halloween--completely his idea. We try to encourage the creative/innocent costumes as long as possible, even if it means I have to special order yellow feather boas from a Mardi Gras dealer in New Orleans.

We're not sure why the yellow hairspray turned out green. Nor are we sure why we didn't just wear orange knee socks instead of painstakingly wrapping his calves in orange duct tape.

But he suffered and sweated through the ward Halloween Party and got a 1st place ribbon to show for it.

Michael went as a mad scientist--can you spot the wires and batteries on his head? That lab coat was made out of Dave's least favorite shirt, which also happens to be the shirt he wore when we were married. (If I remember correctly, he had to borrow it from his brother at the hotel that morning.)

Here's the whole crew on the 31st. Blake's hair is rainbow sprayed from  his soccer game earlier that day. Ellie is sporting an encore showing of last year's award-winning "Princess Witch" and Kendall is reviving our original prize pig. It is a strategic choice of mine that I have not posted a photo of myself in the adult-sized Gymboree pink skeleton pajamas that I wore that day.
